Yeah, I'm writing about xanga itself. Along time ago, I began writing here. I was fourteen and just enrolled in a brand new town. Back when I had a lot less drama and a lot less friends. Everyone from Coshocton had xanga, so I knew I needed to get one. I did and added everyone so we could keep in touch. At that time xanga was this crazy place where you posted anything and everything. And the way you kept in contact was by leaving each other comments on post. People hooked up and broke up through xanga posts.
But then, People found this thing called myspace. Now isn't that cool. Now the irony here is that I joined myspace and xanga around the same time (I joined xanga first by like a week). After a while everyone saw that myspace was the "next big thing". So everyone hoped over there. Some kept there xangas for a while, but eventually they died down. And sometime after myspace, facebook got popular, and now everybody's there.
Now for the reason I'm back at xanga. It's the exact same reason I left in the first place nobody used it anymore. I needed a myspace and facebook to keep in touch with friends. So I stopped posting to my xanga all together. But after talking to my friend tara, I decided I needed a place that was calm. A place that was away from stupid apps and pointless bulletins. Somewhere I can be myself, and not worry about what other people will think. After a short thinking period, I decided xanga was the place for me again.
Now, all of my friends aren't here, but I needed that. I have my own blog too, ([matt]). But my xanga is more emo(tional, I'm Not Emo ). I can put my heart on my sleeve and not worry about others ridiculing me. This isn't to say there's no one on xanga anymore. It's just a calmer, more dedicated and understanding group. That's the reason I took xanga back.
I hope that wasn't too long, but I wanted to write it out before I forgot.
